canucks clinch division

Chris Higgins scored two goals, including the winner at 1:40 of overtime, and Vancouver rallied to beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 Saturday night.
The Canucks clinched their fourth straight Northwest Division title before the game, thanks to Calgary's loss to Dallas.
Vancouver closed the gap on St. Louis in the race for the top seed in the Western Conference. The Blues have 101 points, compared with 99 for the Canucks.
Mason Raymond also scored for Vancouver and Roberto Luongo stopped 38 shots as the Canucks improved to 5-0 against Colorado this season.
Gabriel Landeskog and Jamie McGinn scored for the Avalanche, which led 2-0.
Higgins' score with 2:30 left in the second period was the last goal in regulation.
On the winning play, Jannik Hansen got the puck in the corner and fed a wide-open Higgins.
"It probably wasn't the prettiest one, but I got it on net and it went in," Higgins said.
